Management Team


Dr. Wolfgang Neuberger (1951) - CEO - is the chief executive of biolitec AG, the parent company of CeramOptec. His core responsibilities revolve around strategic partnerships and organizations. Dr. Neuberger has been involved in establishing the current biolitec group since 1988. He has worked as a project manager for McKinsey, GEA Happel AG in Herne and Corporate Dynamics in Geneva. After his training as an engineer, he earned a doctorate degree in physics from the Technical University of Vienna in 1997. Dr. Neuberger also holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Dr. Stefan Spaniol (1962) is responsible for R&D and clinical studies at biolitec AG board. Previously he held a similar position at CeramOptec GmbH in Bonn. He worked as a project coordinator for the University of Bonn and was manager of the laser lab of Gynecological Clinics at Bonn University. He helds a PhD degree from Bonn University.

Kelly Moran (1957) - COO - is the Chief Operating Officer for CeramOptec Industries, Inc. and biolitec, Inc. in the United States and is the Business Unit Manager for the industrial and veterinary markets, worldwide. As such, he oversees all US operations and, in addition, handles all OEM sales, worldwide. In 1989, Moran co-founded CeramOptec's US facility with Dr. Neuberger and Dr. Carol J. Morello. Previously, he worked as a Sales Representative for Amphenol, FiberGuide, and Spectran; and he holds a BS from Assumption College.

Carol J. Morello, VMD, RAC (1957) - Regulatory Manager - directs all Regulatory Affairs in the United States. Dr. Morello is responsible for all FDA pre-market applications; in addition, she oversees company compliance to GMP and ISO 9001 requirements. In 1989, Dr. Morello co-founded CeramOptec's US facility with Dr. Neuberger and Mr. Moran. Dr. Morello is an accomplished veterinarian, with several publications and patents credited to her name and extensive veterinary work experience. Dr. Morello holds a BA in Biology from Assumption College and an MA in Biology from Smith College; she received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987.
