Optran Polyimide UV, Optran Polyimide WF

CeramOptec's polyimide coated fibers are ideal for applications requiring high temperature capability. While acrylate, nylon, and Tefzel® coatings start to deteriorate between 100° and 250° C, CeramOptec's unique polyimide coated fibers can withstand temperatures up to 400° C. In addition, this thin jacketing is ideal for use in bundles and supports spectral transmission from 160 to 2500 nm.

Features

  • Broad temperature range: -190° C to +400° C (-310° F to +752° F)Thin jacket diameter - best fiber for use in bundlesHigh laser damage resistanceHigh core to clad ratio optionsBiocompatible materialsSterilized by ETO and other methodsManufactured at GMP and ISO 9001 compliant facilityRadiation resistant: 109 rad. totalHigh transmission in UV / VIS / NIRCan withstand vacuum environments (10-9 torr)10 AtmospheresResistant to fluids

Notes

*Core / Clad ratio may not support transmission for long wavelengths.

Other sizes available.

NA 0.12 - 0.44 and other core / clad ratios available upon request.

Additional protective jackets (nylon, Tefzel®) can be extruded over polyimide.

NA is measured at 95% intensity angle.

Tefzel® is a DuPont registered product.
