To strengthen our team in Livani, we are looking for an experienced

Senior Purchasing Specialist
(profession code according to Latvian Occupational Classification: 3323 01)

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective control of order flow and fulfilment within the specified deadlines, regularly monitoring order statuses and maintaining communication with suppliers
• Identify potential delays or risks in a timely manner and inform your immediate manager about them, as well as quickly search for, prepare and offer alternative solutions
• Procure parts/components
• Control the availability of raw materials in the warehouse based on planned production volumes and current demand using the MIN/MAX system, organise their timely procurement to ensure continuous production
• Monitor the receipt, identification, registration and storage of materials
• Timely recording of incoming materials and production in the company’s system
• Check the conformity of received materials with accompanying documents and quality requirements
• Search for and evaluate potential suppliers, perform supplier assessments, and regularly update the supplier database
• Attend exhibitions, search for new suppliers, perform supplier market analysis
• Maintain communication with existing suppliers
• Achieve better delivery terms, payment terms, component prices and ensure safety stocks (in cooperation with suppliers)
• Diversify risks by working with alternative suppliers (2-3 suppliers for each type of component)
• Delve into the specifics and process of production by cooperating with the production, warehouse and engineering departments
• Introduce automation of the procurement process
• Reduce warehouse stock by introducing a JIT (“just in time”) system and controlling the timeliness of deliveries
• Reduce the amount of illiquid stock in the warehouse
• Work with non-conformities and complaints

Requirements for Applicants:

• Secondary technical or higher education (preferably in the field of electronics)
• Work experience in the procurement/wholesale/logistics sector
• Experience in manager position is desirable
• Good computer skills (MS Office, advanced Excel skills)
• Good communication skills and knowledge of English (to communicate with various external organisations on procurement and delivery issues)

We offer:

• A gross monthly salary ranging from EUR 1,500 to EUR 2,500, depending on professional experience
• Training and business trips to acquire the necessary work skills
• Health insurance after the trial period
• Transportation is provided from Daugavpils and Jekabpils
• Compensation for transportation expenses is provided from other locations
