First time attending – CeramOptec at PHOTONICS Europe

CeramOptec will make its debut at SPIE Photonics Europe in Strasbourg, France – April 14th -15th.

We’re excited to explore this new venue, connect with an international audience, and present our core strengths in optical fiber technology – including UV to NIR specialty fibers, custom assemblies, and OEM-ready solutions.

We look forward to discovering new ideas, forging valuable connections, and becoming part of Europe’s thriving photonics community.

📍 Strasbourg Convention Centre

CeramOptec’s focus at the AKL International Laser Technology Congress on April 22, 2026 in Aachen, hosted by Fraunhofer ILT, is a central challenge in the field: How can laser-based minimally invasive therapies be made simultaneously more accurate, gentle, and consistent?

Our session will detail how precise energy delivery into biological tissue is achieved through the careful selection of wavelength, fiber design, and material properties. Using examples from medical technology and life sciences, we will illustrate how fiber-optic solutions enable next-generation minimally invasive laser systems.

The AKL Laser Congress offers an ideal platform for discussing technical concepts, innovation strategies, and system-level considerations in laser applications. We look forward to exchanging insights with experts from academia and industry and to engaging in in-depth technical discussions.

CeramOptec will be participating in the IVAM Hightech Summit, held in Leiden (Netherlands) from June 22 to 23, 2026. During the conference, we will deliver a technical presentation highlighting recent advancements and fiber optic innovations in minimally invasive laser therapy for applications in medical technology and life sciences.

The talk will address current technological trends, application-driven requirements, and the role of advanced fiber-based solutions in enabling precise, reliable, and scalable minimally invasive procedures.

The IVAM Hightech Summit offers an excellent platform for interdisciplinary exchange between industry, research, and application experts. We look forward to engaging discussions, new perspectives, and an open technical dialogue on future developments in medical and life science photonics.

Four intense days of in-depth technical discussions, valuable exchanges, and new insights: Photonics West has once again surpassed itself. We look back very positively. As part of the German Pavilion, we presented our innovative fiber optic solutions to an international expert audience and engaged with both long-standing partners and new contacts.

Our main emphasis was on application-focused OEM fiber solutions, high-power fibers designed for reliable long-term performance, and custom-designed fiber geometries suited for challenging industrial and medical uses. Direct discussions around specific technical requirements, ongoing development projects, and future applications proved particularly valuable.

The consistently open and constructive atmosphere, combined with strong interest in tailored solutions, once again highlighted the dynamic and forward-looking direction of the photonics industry. We sincerely thank all visitors for the insightful conversations, the trust placed in our expertise, and the many impulses we take with us into future projects.

Precision Meets Medical Technology: Our Trade Fair Review for COMPAMED 2025

COMPAMED 2025 was a great success for us — technically, personally, and strategically.

As part of the IVAM joint booth, we welcomed a large number of visitors from medical technology and life sciences. This year, we saw particularly strong interest in custom optical fiber solutions for laser-based and diagnostic systems: a core area in which CeramOptec has been a technology leader for decades.

The highlights at our booth included:

  • Medical probes and OEM assemblies for surgical lasers, endoscopy, and photonic systems
  • Solarization-resistant UV fibers for phototherapy, sterilization, and UV curing
  • Broadband fibers of the Optran® series for diagnostics, spectroscopy, and PDT
  • and our fully in-house production approach, seamlessly combining development, fiber manufacturing, and assembly

The feedback from visitors was consistently positive:
Many emphasized the growing importance of reliable components for modern medical devices, and valued our direct cooperation, deep technical expertise, and flexible production capabilities.

We also initiated promising new projects with manufacturers from Europe, North America, and Asia. The discussions made clear: The demand for robust, precise, and customized fiber solutions in medical and biotechnology applications continues to rise.

Our conclusion:
COMPAMED 2025 highlighted the crucial role that high-quality optical fibers play in advancing diagnostics, therapy, and medical device manufacturing. We would like to thank all visitors, partners, and new contacts for the inspiring conversations, and we look forward to turning many of these ideas into successful projects.

Two Days of Insights, Innovation & New Connections

W3+ Fair Jena 2025 is behind us – and we’re happy to look back on two inspiring and productive trade show days. On September 24–25, we presented our fiber optic solutions in a top-tier setting and engaged with numerous professionals from optics, photonics, electronics, and precision engineering.

Our OEM-ready fiber assemblies, AR-coated high-power fibers, and non-circular core geometries sparked great interest among visitors and led to many valuable discussions.

We thank everyone who stopped by and look forward to returning next time – with new ideas and the same passion for photonics!
