Apart from the fact that reindeer can't fly, there are a number of other reasons why Santa Claus can't actually exist.

  1. Santa Claus has 31 hours to visit around 200 million households. With an estimated travel route of 325 million kilometers, this results in a speed of 10 million km/h.
  2. If one assumes that a flying reindeer can pull 10 times as much as a normal one, it would take 300,000 flying reindeer to pull the total load of around 500,000 tons.
  3. At this weight and speed, all the reindeer would have been incinerated within a fraction of a second and Santa would have been pushed to the bottom of the sleigh with a centrifugal force 130,000 times greater than the earth's gravity. Needless to say, he probably wouldn't have survived.
